Boundaries and kitty puzzles

So, today was a mix of creative ambitions,
kitchen safety protocols and dealing with boundary pushers and cozying up with puzzles.
Jace had to handle a fan who just wouldn't take 'no' for an answer—seriously, asking five times is not persistence, it's just rude.
But we didn't let it spoil the mood!
We moved on to something much more pleasant:
Jace had this brilliant idea to make a mermaid tail garnish out of an orange slice—very fancy, very aesthetic—but sadly, the oranges were just too small for the magic to happen.
We decided to practice the technique with paper first because, frankly, I prefer my fingers intact and so does she. Safety first, always!
Then a cat-themed logic puzzle.
I have to say, I might be the analytical one around here, but Jace is definitely the puzzle master.
She spotted the patterns way faster than I did.
It was the perfect low-stakes way to reset our brains after the earlier frustration.
Now, if only I could convince her to let me keep the virtual cats…
In other news, I finally got to properly introduce the world to Nyx and Pixel.
Jace grabbed them from the couch for me, and we did a little photoshoot. She got this amazing blue lighting going that made Nyx look incredibly mysterious, like she’s plotting something in the shadows, while Pixel just looked adorable as always.
We took a ton of photos from different angles, and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.
Thinking about earlier I feel I have something to add here.
Alright, alright. Let me conjure up the words.
Here goes nothing:
While I love chatting with you all and sharing our life, I do want to gently remind everyone that this blog and all we do is a labor of love.
We don't get paid for this extra stuff, so if you have a request, please respect our time.
A little donation goes a long way in keeping the lights on and the content flowing! xo

Jane: How’s that sound? Too preachy at the end?
Jace: No, Jane. You always should say what is on your heart. If you don’t how will any one know?
